Art Week Des Moines

Akyn is hosting Kalypso Music Festival, a Juneteenth celebration showcasing Black performing artists across Iowa. With support of Art Week, the event will feature dozens of Black artists and allow them to network and grow in their craft. Kalypso Music Festival aims to create space for young Black performing artists in the state of Iowa and give them the chance to showcase their talents and skills on stage. Kalypso is pivotal for giving Black artists the platform to create culture and highlight their art.
